Cycle

The bike course is one loop of 21k. A map of the course can be found here. The course has been designed to take into account competitor safety. It comprises of left hand turns on mostly rural roads. The route is hilly and takes riders through the beautiful scenery of the West Pennine Moors around Horwich and Rivington. The route will be well signposted and all junctions will be marshalled,  so please take notice of these and slow down when directed.

Triathletes must obey the normal rules of the road while competing. Directional arrows will be attached to lamp posts along the route. Marshals will have a puncture repair kit and radio contact with the race organisers in case you need assistance. A rescue vehicle will also be on the bike course to assist where needed.

There are no aid stations on the bike course so competitors will need to carry their own drinks.

If you have any questions about the cycle route or anything to do with the cycle part of the triathlon please email us at: info@nhstriathlon.co.uk
