Swim sessions

In order to help this years participants become better swimmers we are launching new swim sessions in Bolton.

Starting March 14th at Turton Sports Centre there will be two sessions;

Session one:  6.00 – 6.45pm aimed at swimmers looking for a combination of technique and endurance work

Session two:  6.45 – 7.30pm aimed at the more experienced swimmer.

Full details can be found here

Provisional results

Provisional results can be found at https://results.sporthive.com/events/6281932378176088064

As you will appreciate with just under 1000 individual splits across the three different events there are some results which need clarifying.  Once these have been checked we will change the status of the results from provisional to final.

Thanks

Registration

This year we are offering competitors two different times to register for the event. You can register either

Friday 16th June 5pm – 7pm

Saturday 17th June  1.30pm – 4.30pm

Registration will take place in the Rivington Suite at Horwich Leisure Centre. In order to relieve some of the stress on race day we recommend that if possible you register on the Friday night.

Race briefing now available

The final race briefing for Saturdays event  is now available on the website and can be found at https://www.nhstriathlon.co.uk/race-day/final-race-brief/

Please note that owing to the extensive building work being carried out at Horwich Leisure Centre  this year we have had to make a few changes to how the event is being run.  In particular we are operating two separate transition areas.   Please take 5 minutes to read the briefing and also allow extra time to get yourself set up on race day

Thanks

Important Information for Sunday

Hi
Hope you are all looking forward to a sunny race day on Sunday. Please note the following.

Please be aware there is some building work taking place around the outside of Horwich Leisure Centre.  The route from poolside to transition is currently under construction.  We are liaising daily with the contractors to come up with the best possible solution.  However, it may involve a section that is uneven under foot and with this in mind we would advise wearing trainers for the short run from pool to transition. These can be left on poolside.  There will be a further update at registration.

We have also been advised that there are roadworks scheduled for Sunday in the town centre of Horwich. A small part of  the road will be closed to motorised traffic and there will be signs telling motorists the road is closed. The implications for us are that you will be asked to dismount  your bike ( the same place as in previous years) and to walk through the lights. There will be marshals there to direct you.  Once again please take extra care at this point.   Further information regarding this will be given at registration as the situation is currently changing.

Look forward to seeing you Sunday
